The newest innovation in high functionality excipients, PROSOLV® 730, was developed to provide solutions to challenges presented by oily active ingredients and poorly water-soluble, lipophilic substances.

PROSOLV® 730 is a co-processed composite consisting of microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, and copovidone. Each component is regarded as safe for nutraceutical applications and complies with the corresponding monographs of the Ph. Eur and USP/NF.

PROSOLV® 730 is now available in specific markets, including North America and parts of Europe, and will be globally available in 2023.

How Does PROSOLV^® 730 Work?

Step 1

Lipophilic actives have practically no solubility in water. They can be dissolved, however, in many non-aqueous media, including a wide range of different oils and organic solvents.

Step 2

PROSOLV^® 730 readily adsorbs and integrates oily APIs or API dissolved in non-aqueous liquids.

Step 3

Oil-loaded PROSOLV^® 730 is a free-flowing powder that is suitable for capsule filling as well as for direct compression of tablets.

Step 4

PROSOLV^® 730 quickly releases the oil in the form of a fine mist of droplets. The API partitions into the aqueous phase and becomes available for absorption.
