ARBOCEL®, powdered cellulose, is a plant-based functional filler. Powdered cellulose is chemically inert and is, thus, not metabolized by the human body. Because it is not digested, it has no functional caloric value. It is commonly used by formulators as an alternative to lactose when designing medicine for lactose-intolerant patients. ARBOCEL®’s binding properties and natural fiber structure lead to stable tablets with low friability.

EMDEX® is a directly compressible, water-soluble tablet binder and filler. PRUV®, Sodium Stearyl Fumarate, is a tablet lubricant specifically designed for formulations in which other lubricants lead to formulation and/or manufacturing challenges. As opposed to magnesium stearate, it offers advantages including: high degree of API compatibility, robustness to over-lubrication, no adverse effect on bioavailability, and improved appearance of effervescent solutions.
VIVAPHARM® PVP/VA 64 is the ultimate tablet binder for all processing technologies. It can be used in direct compression, wet granulation, and dry granulation, as well as in hot melt extrusion for poorly soluble drug actives with low bioavailability.
VIVAPHARM® PVP K30 is the classic wet binder with optimal balance between adhesive strength and ease of handling. It has excellent solubility in water and a range of organic solvents, and is supplied as a free-flowing powder with spherical particle morphology.
